Richard Batterley's No Time To Spare Southern Highlands MORE INFORMATION

The photography of the images in the current No Time To Spare exhibition has its origin in the black and white photographs created by famed photographer Max Dupain for the 1962 No Time To Spare exhibition.

Dupain, of course, used a large format film camera and then processed them in a dark room. The photographs in this 2022 collection are all captured using high resolution, digital cameras and then edited using modern software techniques.

To emphasise certain aspects in some of the Highlands photographs a spot colour technique has been employed using the actual colour of the subject, carefully selected and laid over the black and white image.

However, the fundamentals of photography really haven’t changed since Dupain captured the photographs for the 1962 exhibition - it’s still about creatively capturing the light to produce captivating images.  When creating this collection Richard Batterley carefully balanced the heritage value of the subject whilst concentrating on the photographic creativity. The result is an outstanding collection of photographs that vividly tell the story of just some of the at risk heritage of the region.

Limited edition prints of all the images in the collection are available, each individually produced to meet the exact requirements of the buyer and Richard's high production standards.  There's a range of sizes, mounts and frames, too many to list here.  So to find out more information just send Richard an email using the form below telling him what you're looking for and he'll get back to you quickly.
